Hey there, ladies and gentlemen. This week's blog topic is on our "new" goals for the "new" quarter and since I am a "new"bie I had a lot of mess-ups during the first quarter, but that just means that I have a lot of things to improve upon during my second quarter. So today I am going to talk about the one thing I can be better at and how I'm going to do that, and that goal is not to forget things.
One thing I can do to help reach my goal is to write things down. This is probably the most obvious thing in the world, but in order to remember to write things down, I better write "write things down" on a notepad because my memory is equivalent to Dory from Finding Nemo. If I wrote things down more often I would get use to keeping track of a lot of things, and eventually I wouldn't need to write things down because I am so used to seeing the words and locking them up in my brain so that it won't escape.
In addition, I can repeat it in my head when I hear it, if I repeat it then I would remember it, as simple as that. This kind of goes along with "writing stuff down" method but it still helps me remember things.
Finally, the last thing I can do to accomplish my goal is to ask people what I was supposed to do. I try to avoid this as much as possible, but if I am at the last resort and I can't think of what I need to remember, all I need to do is ask another student or teammate. Maybe I could finally learn my lesson after I bug someone with my early alzheimer's.
To sum things up, I can do a lot of things just to accomplish one goal so that I can get better. Or, I guess, in a shorter note "Good to Great", am I right?
