It's a new school year! And, now that I'm in media, I have a bunch of opportunities to learn, accomplish, and grow. So here's a few goals I want to achieve this school year.
First, I really want to get used to the work overload that is media. I tend to be distracted easily, then I procrastinate, then it's like 9:00 p.m. and I'm rushing and dying on the inside. So, attending media would mean I would learn how to get things done efficiently, and learning how to be seriously hard-core 100% responsible.
Another thing I want to learn this school year is to be prompt. If you met me, you've probably realized that I'm constantly running late to EVERYTHING. Church, school, eye doctor appointment, your aunt's cousin's nephew's god-brother's step sister's birthday party, you name it, I've been late to it. Since we have to be at school by 7:15 a.m. to get ready for morning announcements, I acknowledged that I need to start showing up early or on time. After all, if you're early you're on time, if you're on time you're late, and if you're late you're dead. (Ms. Tochiki taught me that)
Lastly, I want to explore the world of media in a whole new light. I want to use it as an outlet to get things out there. To spread good things, good news, and good stories about good people. I want to have a say, even if I might only be 12 years old. You're never to young to be a leader. So being in media, means learning media, and that's what I'm going to do.
Overall, whether it's being more responsible, more prompt, or expanding your horizons, I have lot to learn in my first year of advanced media.
